This is my first trainer built from RCM plans. It is powered by Robbe P700 13T motor and 8 Sanyo N1700SCR cells and it is a very docile flyer.

I built this electric-powered semi scale A-10 Warthog on the basis of May 1995 MAN plans. It has 120 cm (47 in) wingspan with 25 dm^2 (400 sq. in) main wing area. Its flying weight (including 8 Sanyo N1700SCR batteries) is 2200 grams (78 oz.).

For powering it I at first planned to use two Kyosho AP-29 with cut down props. This of course did not work due to high weight of the airplane. I later changed to two Graupner Speed 500 (8.4V) motors with unmodified 8x4 props.

After some problems with a home made ESC I made a couple of successful flights, but the model is still underpowered. I plan to improve performance by increasing number of cells to 10 and using using props with larger pitch.
